The Blassengrat in the Wetterstein is a beautiful and varied ridge crossing with impressive ridge climbing. The often very exposed ridge, with two abseiling points and its famous spreading step, is in no way inferior to the Jubiläumsgrat – except in length. On the 3 km long ridge edge we master climbing points up to the third level of difficulty. Good fitness and sure-footedness are required because we do not find a via ferrata and steel cable here. After about 5-6 hours of climbing, we reach the summit of Hoch Blassen 2703 meters. At the summit break we enjoy the view of the Reintal, the Zugspitze and the 75 meter "smaller" Alpspitze.

Meeting point is at 7:45 am at the Alpspitzbahn at the Kassenhäusel. After the welcome and an equipment check, we take the train to the Alpspitz area. Through the Nordwandsteig we reach the Stuibensee from there we climb the Hohe Gaif - starting point for the Blassengrat. In the following hours we are at the Blassengrat until we descend to the Grießkarscharte. Now we can decide depending on the weather and desire: Over the Alpspitze and the Ferrata back to the Alpspitzbahn or through the Grießkar and the well-known Nordwandsteig back to the railway.
